Als je dat aan een leidinggevende vraagt of aan een willekeurige CEO dat krijg je hoogstwaarschijnlijk het antwoord dat hij of zij zeker in contact staat met de werkvloer. Ik durf te zeggen dat dat antwoord vaak allesbehalve de werkelijkheid is. Niet zozeer dat ik de CEO beticht van illine maar op de doodeenvoudige reden dat je je daarin flink kunt vergissen. Je denkt in contact te staan maar is dat ook zou? Vindt de werkvloer dat ook men wat doe je in doen en laten om in contact te zijn en blijven. Dat lijkt eenvoudig maar is razend moeilijk. Kun je een setting creëren waarbij de werkvloer zich veilig voelt om bepaalde zaken ter sprake te brengen? IK denk dat dit heel vaak niet het geval is. Dus absolute noodzaak om hiervan bewust te zijn en daar iets aan te doen. Als je dat niet doet zit je, voordat je het weet, in een ivoren toren.
